Scottish Dirk - Sheaths - Lance Points - Knives
Main gauche means "left-handed" as this type of short sword was used in the left hand as a parrying dagger while fencing or dueling. They were popular from the early 16th century until the 18th century. Ours has a 12" blade and is 18 1/2" overall. The beautiful handle is rosewood inlaid with polished white brass cord which matches the ornate pommel and hilt guard. It comes with a scabbard of dark brown leather with polished white brass hardware.

These are a very nice knives made in the USA. Patterned after 18th Century remains found in England. The blade is about 5 1/2" long with the overall length being approx. 9 1/2". Hardwood handle is attached by brass pins. Sheath sold separately.

This sheath is perfect for our rounded or square trade knives. It will hold a knife with a blade length up tp 7-1/4" long and 1-1/2" wide. Easily slips on a belt. Knives sold separately.

This beautiful dirk has a 15" single-edge blade and a traditionally shaped rosewood handle with brass ferrule and pommel. It includes a black leather scabbard with brass hardware that holds a small knife and fork set. "Real men don't need spoons!" The small knife and fork have hardwood handles and are about 5" long. This type of scabbard with a knife and fork set was fairly common in the 18th century.

This is a good 18th century backwoods knife. It has a straight 12" long blade and slightly curved black horn handle. Small brass guard and brass end pommel finish out the handle. Comes with a black leather sheath.

Now with some practice you too can stick a thrown knife in your desired target! This is a tough knife made especially for throwing, it has extra weight in the blade and has a small handle with leather grips. This heavy steel blade is 12" to 13" long overall and weighs about 1 pound.

A relatively small double-edged knife, this dagger's blade is almost 7" long. Finished with a nice rosewood handle, brass guard and pommel. About 11-1/2" long overall and comes with a leather sheath.

A handy, well balanced knife. Sharpened on one edge only, it is not a Bowie but an earlier style. The blade is approx. 8-1/2" and the knife itself is about 13" long overall and comes with a leather sheath.

This is an authentic working class knife. It is light and hardly noticable in the pocket. Tempered for easy sharpening. Has a woodden handle that is 4" long and a blade that measures 2 3/4" long. Has a strong spring to ensure sturdiness. A nice knife for your reenactor.

Heavy knives like this were often carried by soldiers in the Revolutionary War. It has a horn handle with brass hardware and measures about 5" closed, 9-1/4" open.
