Come to the Pierceton Living History Fair
The second annual Pierceton Living History Fair will be on February 9th and 10th, 2008. The hours are 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday. It will be located in the Old Depot in downtown Pierceton Indiana. There will be 20 or so vendors of 18th and 19th century stuff. Last year was very well attended and this year looks even better. Don’t miss out.
Store Sale in February!
Yes, Our second annual store sale is on February 9th and 10th, 2008. Lots of goodies like: specialty items, prototypes, discontinued stuff, and other stuff you will only find in the store. Extended hours 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday and 9 to 4 on Sunday. This will coincide with the Pierceton Living History Fair just across the street.

Who would GW (George Washington) vote for?
In all my years of working for, or running Jas. Townsend and Son I have never thought it worthy to tell my customers about anything related to politics. But apparently the time has come. When you spend a lot or even a little time studying the late 18th century in America you find political truths that seem to be forgotten. While none of our founding fathers was faultless or perfect, they did seem to have so really smart things to say about what a good government should be like. The vast majority of today’s politicians have completely abandoned these truths, But there is one man who still thinks that these old ideas still have merit. I encourage everyone to read up on Ron Paul. The only candidate that says “Hey, let’s look at the constitution and see what that says”. Be informed about your choice for president. 1st Annual Pierceton Indiana Living History Fair
February 10th and 11th, 2007
9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 5pm on Sunday.
Come and see various vendors/suppliers of guns, knives, powder horns, clothing, cookware, art, crafts, funiture, leather, books and more of the 18th and 19th century.
Also, Native Sun Productions with Gary Foreman and Carolyn Raine will be presenting documentaries.
The event will be held at the Old Depot in Pierceton which is about 35 miles west of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The depot is about 1/4 miles south of the junction of Highway 30 and 13. The depot is easy walking distance from our store( about two blocks), you can see it from our front window.
Our sale in conjunction with this event will make it a must attend for anyone in the area.
Admission will be $3.00 at the door for adults (kids under 12 $1.00 - 6 and under Free).

The store sale will include returns, seconds, one-of-a-kinds, prototypes, scraps, discontinued items and other what-not that isn’t available on our website or in our print catalog.

Clocked Stocking Available Again!
Clocked stockings are again in stock right now. These sox have been tough to keep in stock as our manufacturers keep croaking on us. Hopefully they are here to stay for a while. We even lowered the price a little. Very nice construction, I think you will like them.

Website Christmas Specials and Whatnot
